Tom & Meg Stallard present Singin’ in the Rain

September 17, 2021 @ 7:30 pm - 10:00 pm

The “Greatest Movie Musical of All Time,” is faithfully and lovingly adapted by Broadway legends, Betty Comden and Adolph Green, from their original award-winning screenplay in Singin’ in the Rain. The show has all the makings of a Tinseltown tabloid headline – the starlet, the leading man, and a love affair that could change lives and make or break careers! In silent movies, Don Lockwood (played by Erik Catalan) and Lina Lamont (played by Patricia Glass) are a hot item, but behind the scenes things aren’t always as they appear on the big screen. Meanwhile, Lina’s squeaky voice may be the end of her career in “talking pictures” without the help of a talented young actress, Kathy Selden (played by Kirsten Myers) to do the talking and singing for her. Cosmo Brown (played by Eddie Voyce) is a delightful character in the show – you’ll find yourself thinking, “now that’s entertainment!”

Underwritten by Tom and Meg Stallard, Singin’ in the Rain is Rodger McDonald’s 14th directing project at the Woodland Opera House. McDonald says he, “has collected one of the most experienced and popular casts to do a show at the Opera House with many of the audiences’ favorite performers from seasons past.”

Jia-Min Rosendale provides music direction with Costume Design by Denise Miles. Set Design is created by Mark Deamer, set construction and rain effect creation and design is done by Mike Cartwright. Darryl Strohl-DeHerrera is the Choreographer while the Light Designer is Craig Vincent. Melissa Dahlberg handles the role of Stage Manager with ease.
