Our School Outreach Program supports students’ access to the arts by offering schools affordable tickets to live theatre performances in our historic Woodland Opera House!

 

Reservations requests are accepted only from Schools and on a first come basis.

Curious George: The Golden Meatball

Run time approximately 60 minutes

Everyone’s favorite little monkey and his trusty human companion, The Man with the Yellow Hat, bring their fun-filled friendship to the stage in this live musical delight. And this time George’s endless curiosity – and a big-hearted desire to help his neighborhood friend and chef, Luigi – takes him on a whirlwind, worldwide adventure to Europe for The Golden Meatball culinary competition. Come savor the laughs and adventure abound from abroad as George seeks to prove Luigi is the best chef in the whole world!  A Theatre for Families production featuring an adult and youth cast. Perfect for students in grades K- 4th. The Nutcracker “Sweet”

A short and sweet re-telling of the traditional Christmas Ballet, “The Nutcracker”. Young Clara is taken on a magical journey into a land of Sweets by her favorite Christmas present, a Magic Nutcracker. A Rising Stars production featuring a youth cast.  Perfect for students in grades K-6th grade. Disney’s Frozen, JR

Frozen JR. brings Elsa, Anna, and the magical land of Arendelle to life, onstage. The show features all the memorable songs from the animated film. A story of true love and acceptance between sisters, Frozen JR. expands upon the emotional relationship and journey between Princesses Anna and Elsa. When faced with danger, the two discover their hidden potential and the powerful bond of sisterhood. With a cast of beloved characters and loaded with magic, adventure, and plenty of humor, Frozen JR. is sure to thaw even the coldest heart! A Theatre for Families production featuring a youth cast. Our Town

A landmark in American drama, Thornton Wilder’s Pulitzer Prize-winning Our Town tells the story of a small town in New Hampshire, Grover’s Corners, during the years of 1901 – 1913, through everyday lives of its citizens. Narrated by the “stage manager,” we follow the Gibbs and Webb families through twelve years of life changes – from the mundane in Act I, “Daily Life,” to the romantic in Act II, “Love and Marriage,” to the devastating in Act III, “Death and Eternity.” Through the young lovers Emily and George, their strong and loving parents, and the many other Grover’s Corners locals, Wilder delivers the universal truths about what it means to be human.
