The historic Woodland Opera House, 340 2nd Street, Woodland
The Woodland Opera House is excited for “All Together Now!,” a benefit concert on Saturday, November 13th at 7:30 p.m. All proceeds from the concert will go toward the Woodland Opera House Permanent Endowment Fund. The Fund was established in 1997 to allow for the maintenance and preservation of the historic facility. The Opera House receives no state funding, therefore the Endowment is critical in covering building repairs, renovations, and the replacement of equipment. And the organization is grateful for this opportunity to entertain patrons and gain support for the Endowment Fund at the same time.
The concert is generously underwritten by The Corner Drug Co. and is the brainchild of Music Theatre International (MTI), the most prestigious show licensing company in the world. With this concert they have created a major international celebration called “All Together Now!” – A Global Event Celebrating Local Theatre. It is their response to the COVID-19 pandemic and a way to bring all theatres together from around the world to perform an exclusive musical revue featuring songs from MTI’s beloved shows while helping theatres raise much needed funds to recover from full shutdowns during the pandemic.
Over 3,800 theatre companies around the world will be performing the show during the same time period, from November 12 – 15, 2021!
The show is directed by Bob Cooner with Musical Direction by Dean Mora and the cast list is as follows: Nancy Agee, Ernestine Balisi, Danny Beldi, Erik Catalan, Jadi Galloway, Jori Gonzales, Eric Piotrowski, Jenny Plasse, Carlie Robinson, Lenore Sebastian, Barrett Shepherd, Emily Jo Shepherd, Jean Thompson, and Eddie Voyce. It will also include 15 performances which will showcase the incredible talent that the WOH is proud to draw from for its productions each season.
Here is just a sampling of what you will enjoy: “Pure Imagination” from Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, “Matchmaker” from Fiddler on the Roof, “The Human Heart” from Once on this Island, “When I Grow Up” from Matilda, and “Gimme Gimme” from Thoroughly Modern Millie.
MTI has outdone themselves by showing their commitment to excellence for all arts communities, offering an elegant, uplifting evening of theatre. Join the historic Woodland Opera House in this amazing global theatre event that will make you laugh, cry, and cheer as we all get back to what we love!
