Singin’ in the Rain has been dubbed by many movie critics and patrons alike as one of the happiest, upbeat, and delightful musicals ever written. In fact, it has been called the greatest movie musical of all time. Set in Hollywood  in the waning days of the silent film era, it focuses on romantic lead Don Lockwood (Erik Catalan), his sidekick Cosmo Brown (Eddie Voyce), aspiring actress Kathy Selden (Kirsten Myers), and Lockwood’s leading lady Lina Lamont (Patricia Glass), whose less-than-dulcet vocal tones make her challenging candidate for stardom in talking pictures. Filled with hilarious situations, snappy dialogue, and a hit parade of toe tapping song and dance numbers this classic show will make everyone walk out of the theater singing and wanting to dance in the rain.

Underwritten by Tom and Meg Stallard, Singin’ in the Rain will be Rodger McDonald’s 14th directing project at the Woodland Opera House. McDonald says he, “has collected one of the most experienced and popular casts to do a show at the Opera House with many of the audiences’ favorite performers from seasons past.”

Jia Min Rosendale provides music direction with Costume Design by Denise Miles. Set Design is created by Mark Deamer and constructed by Mike Cartwright. Darryl Strohl-DeHerrera will be the Choreographer while the Light Designer is Nikki Pendley. Melissa Dahlberg will handle the role of Stage Manager with ease.

Reserved seats are $25 for adults, $23 for seniors 62+, and $12 for children 17 and under. Balcony tickets are $15 for adults and $7 for children. Flex Pass specials and group rates are available.
