WOH – Education Program 2018-19

The Dance Program runs September through May and emphasizes technique using an age-appropriate curriculum.  The discipline, artistry and technique acquired through the study of dance enhances confidence, focus and poise.

The WOH theatre classes engage the imagination as well as enhance personal communication, critical thinking, teamwork, and collaborations skills.  Each session is focused on a different and integrated course of study.


  • All class signups are done at the Woodland Opera House Theatre and Dance Annex located at 520 Court Street.
  • Summer Hours – June 4th through August 30th.   Monday Thursday  3:00-6:00.

Our Education Program is offering a College Scholarship

The Woodland Opera House Education Program is offering a $500 scholarship for a 2018 graduating high school senior who has benefited from our Education Program and/or  has participated in WOH productions. The applicant must be enrolled in a college or arts education program in the fall of 2018 and be focusing on performing arts. (dance, music, theatre)


Applicants should submit an essay describing his/her future educational plans, what he/she gained from their experiences at the Woodland Opera House and how that has prepared them for the future.


The essay should be submitted by Friday, June 15th. Email submissions to The scholarship will be awarded at the Chesley Awards on June 24th.
